All Saints celebrates the whole company of believers who have died in the faith, known and unknown, made holy by Christ alone. Their sanctity is not their own achievement but God’s gift, given in Baptism and the Gospel and sustained through the Word and Sacraments. We give thanks for their witness, are strengthened in faith by their example, and imitate their faith and good works according to our own vocations. We do not invoke the saints, but we rejoice that we share with them one Lord, one faith, and one hope.
May we, strengthened by their example, live faithfully in our own callings until we join the great multitude before the throne of the Lamb.
